Garage door cables are a specific and very serious problem for doors with torsion springs.
The two cables run on both sides of the garage door and attach to its bottom hinges pulling the door up and down to open and close. The bottom part of the door can get wet and the hinges rusty from snow and rain. The garage door hinges can break easily and the cables snap.
